Happy Presidents’ Day from Paris, the beautiful City of Lights. Marile, our daughters Annia and Saramelia, and I find ourselves surrounded by the rich history of global diplomacy. It serves as a powerful reminder of America’s role as a beacon of hope, freedom, and leadership in an ever-changing world. As a nation under God, we are called to uphold these values with faith and perseverance.
Celebrating Leadership and Service
Presidents’ Day is more than a commemoration of those who have served in our highest office—it is a time to reflect on the ideals of democracy, freedom, and service. Just as the Statue of Liberty shines as a guiding light for those seeking a better future, so too must the United States strive to illuminate the path of justice and opportunity for all. As a country founded on faith and guided by divine providence, we carry forward the responsibility to lead with humility and purpose.
America’s Role in Global Affairs
Today, the United States continues to be a guiding force in global affairs, leading efforts for peace, economic stability, and humanitarian aid. Recently, President Trump through his administration, Secretary Marco Rubio has played a crucial role in brokering ceasefire talks in conflict zones, spearheading economic recovery initiatives in developing nations, and leading global health initiatives to combat disease outbreaks. In a time of uncertainty and unrest, America stands as a lighthouse in the storm, offering refuge and direction to those in need. As a nation under God, we must continue to seek wisdom and strength in guiding the world toward a more just and peaceful future.
A Prayer for Our Nation
As is our tradition on this day, we offer a prayer for our leaders and our country:
Heavenly Father, we come to You on this Presidents’ Day with gratitude for the men and women who have led our nation with wisdom and courage.
We ask for Your continued guidance over those who serve today, that they may govern with integrity, compassion, and strength.
May they seek unity over division and justice over complacency.
Lord, bless our country, its people, and those who protect our freedoms at home and abroad.
As a nation under God, may we always strive to be a beacon of hope and peace in the world.
Amen.
While we are far from home, our hearts remain close to the values that make America exceptional—liberty, justice, resilience, and faith. Just as Paris shines as a city of light, may America continue to shine as a beacon of freedom, moral leadership, and democracy across the globe. May we always remember that our nation stands under God’s guidance.
Let this day serve as a reminder to lead with purpose, act with kindness, and uphold the principles that have defined our nation, our United States of America, since its founding.
Wishing you a thoughtful and inspiring Presidents’ Day.
Warmest Personal Regards,
Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
